Executive Board

The Executive Board is composed of the President, the Vice President, the Financial Director, the Policy Director, the Internal Director, the Administrative Director, the Communications Director, the Membership Director, and the Equity & Inclusion Director.

College Councils

Every school and college at UT has a college council, which works to improve the academic experience in its college. The College Councils provide programming which positively affects the academic environment, student-faculty interaction and the university community. The Senate of College Councils is the coordinating body that brings together the College Councils to represent UT students in academic affairs and provide student opinion on academic issues to the University's administration.

Coordinators

Three Coordinators are appointed to work closely with the Executive Board and with the Leadership Team to facilitate progress in internal Senate affairs. These positions include the Policy Drafting Coordinator, the Diversity Coordinator, and the Outreach Coordinator.

New Members

Senate’s New Member program is composed of a select group of passionate new members that actively seek to improve the world around them through university-wide initiatives. Each New Member is matched with 1 of our 8 committees shown below.

General Members

A General Member is a returning member to the organization who serves a committee as a mentor for the At-Larges. These members oversee and contribute to ongoing projects and regularly attend meetings and assemblies.

History

The Senate of College Councils has a rich history leading back to the 1950s. Learn more about how we were founded and how we got to where we are now.

Committees

The Senate of College Councils includes eight internal standing committees who work closely with the Executive Board. Each Senate committee is thematically focused on a particular academic issue. Committee co-chairs are appointed by the Executive Board.
